Our History

What started out as a dream has now become a reality. We got our start back in 2010 as a competition team. While we still compete on the circuits, we have had an increased demand for our products. We believe that the bond and love we have for each other as a team is directly reflected in our BBQ. With each bite you can taste the love, care, and time that goes into each cut of meat. We also use local wood and wood only. Our hickory is purchased from North and South Carolina, and our peach wood comes from Fort Mill South Carolina. So when you taste the sweet, smoky goodness of our BBQ, you can also say you are getting a taste of the Carolinas. On a final note, we eat and breathe Tennessee football. Our name comes from the UT fight song, Rocky Top. So if we cook one of your events, plan on seeing lots of orange and hearing “Rocky Top” played a few times. On the competition circuit we have been recognized by the following:
  • 2010 Charlotte Smokin’ Flavor Fest—1st Pork
  • 2011 Charlotte BBQ and Blues—1st Pork
  • 2012 Lexington BBQ Capital Cook-off—1st Chicken
  • 2012 Monroe Beach, Blues & BBQ—2nd Brisket
